Bluey’s Night Before Christmas
Bluey
What not to like about Bluey? Set during Christmas eve, Bluey and Bingo need to solve a mystery: who’s making a noise when they are already tucked in bed?
Although the story is great for all ages, it’s likely to keep the younger ones entertained for longer. It’s hard to imagine a seven year old that reads at a high level to be engaged for a long time with the book.
It’s particularly a great recommendation for children in kindergarten and year one who enjoy the show

How the Grinch Lost Christmas: A Sequel to How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Alastair Heim (Dr. Seuss style)
I’m not generally a fan of books written by contemporary writers in the style of a writer who’s no longer producing work.
However, this sequel to Dr. Seuss has impressed me and it was a hit with the children. Written by Alastair Heim in the beloved style of Dr. Seuss, children and parents will feel connected after reading what the Grinch has done to create the tallest Christmas tree yet.

We love how they combined classic works by the Brothers Grimm and Thomas Mann intertwine with more recent stories from writers like Peter Stamm and Martin Suter to bring together the greatest festive tales from the Germanic region.
The stories are reflective and provide an awesome opportunity to read together as a family whilst getting to know other cultures.

Bookish Gifts
1
Book Sleeve with Zipper and Front Pocket
How cool it is to have your book remain intact inside your bag?
We’re a huge fan of book sleeves and this one has an added benefit because of its pocket for a phone or thin notebook.

2
Magnetic Bookmark
The best thing about magnetic bookmarks is that they do go missing by sneaking out of the page! There are bazillions of options out there, we like the ones that are a bit more neutral so they last a long time as the child grows up.
