The Case of the Lost City
In the heart of the Amazon, where the trees stand tall,
Lived Saci and friends, ready for a great call.
Iara the mermaid, with scales shining bright,
Cuca the gator, full of mischief and light.
Curupira, the guardian, with feet turned around,
And Saci, one-legged, with a cap quite renowned.
They set off one day on a quest so grand,
To find El Dorado in that vast, green land.
With laughter and cheer, they ventured ahead,
Through vines and through rivers, where creatures tread.
“El Dorado awaits!” Saci cried with delight,
But surprises awaited, oh, what a sight!
A Mohán appeared with vines all a-tangle,
Cuca got caught in a vine-y new wrangle.
Iara splashed water to help her dear friend,
The tangle turned into a water world trend.
They giggled and splashed, soaked through and through,
The Mohán laughed too, enjoying the view.
Next came Chullachaqui, mimicking their call,
“Follow my voice!” it echoed to enthrall.
But Saci and friends were sharp as a tack,
They knew each other’s voices, no need to backtrack.
Then Bochica emerged, wise and astute,
Testing their knowledge, oh, what a hoot!
Riddles and challenges, they gave it their best,
Learning about nature, a thrilling quest.
Through twists and turns, they traveled along,
Solving riddles, though sometimes they got it wrong.
Till they reached a clearing, not gold as they guessed,
But a city of nature, where life was the best.
“The true El Dorado!” Saci exclaimed with glee,
“Nature’s beauty, for all to see!”
Iara nodded, her heart filled with grace,
“The real treasure lies in this wondrous place.”
Curupira smiled, feet turned around,
“The riches we seek are right on this ground.”
With gratitude and joy, they hugged so tight,
Knowing friendship and nature were the truest delight.
As they journeyed back home, their spirits so high,
They cherished their memories beneath the sky.
For in the heart of the Amazon’s embrace,
They found the treasure in each other’s grace
